found a FAIL at work

"If you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often will get it"

(or maybe its just a fail to me. in my mind, if you refuse to accept crap then you won't get it)

thats Bull

Genius

(wonder if they are still around, can looks old)

well everyone

i finally put in my 2 weeks notice at the job, (mind you without having anything lined up) i pulled a Popeye: "i had all i can takes and i can't takes no more".

without the growth hormone spinach and violence, there were heifers involved and i'm not one for animal cruelty.

so on july 10th i'll be officially jobless, yea go me

first off

^that's the mike i know

Michael Jackson died, and i like how will.i.am put it:

"He was a gift to the world, he is a bright light and I wouldn't be surprised if the world stopped spinning tomorrow."

my parents have a picture of me somewhere with my "beat it" shirt on( i think i was 1 or 2 yrs old) and probably some cowboy boots. i always had style.

but tis sad that Ms. Farrah Fawcett had to go on the same day

i'm not really familiar with Fawcett but i say its sad that M.J.'s passing is going to over shadow anyone and anything for about a month.

one a week

quote for this week is:

"the nail that sticks up gets hammered down"

A/G translation: explains itself, don't stick out

enjoying the day off broke

i don't know what it is i just can't seem to hold on to my money these days. maybe i need to go over my finances

Knowing

Directed by: Alex Proyas

Ryne Douglas Pearson(and a few other people) did the screenplay

it was released on March 20, 2009. i'm a little late on this one, but better late than never.

-whoever wrote this has the book "Chariots of the Gods by Erich Von Daniken" on their bookshelf. i think this movie pretty much wrote itself once this book was introduced.

in the book: as for the aliens (sons of heaven) at the end of the movie( and in 1950's), their contact with only certain individuals. and giving them future knowledge(the numbers.) i have not finished reading the book yet so i don't know if people were ever taken away. But from what i have read, the only thing missing is the aliens(sons of heaven) spreading their seed(ha)

in the movie: they added a M.I.T prof.(nick cage) to be able to understand the numbers, the fact that children are the only ones being contacted, and the end of the world.

if i would have only read this book sooner i could have wrote this movie. the next movie is probably going to be based of some other Erich Von Daniken book.

but all in all a good movie. i see this totally happening in real life.

2012 is going to be an interesting year. and the movie when it comes out. as for that movie i would expect a "deep impact" or "day after tomorrow" rip off. only now they have to show the end the world cause "Knowing" did it. they have to upstage Knowing. and i imagine it will be some preachy movie showing us the lives we live and how we need to change.

we'll see

happy fathers day

enjoy the last minute of it

a little poetry

Do you believe in
everything you see?
Could it not be

all that you see
was meant to deceive,
you from yours

Your feeble mind,
those helpless eyes

Passed those trusting lips
and gullible gums
Can you stomach,
what wicked this way comes?

All the lies
with no disguise
no sugar coating
to keep it from hurting

just a thought

quick theory

the word "sin" that means bad things or (to do) bad things.

"sin" in Spanish means "without." pronounced "scene" so im sure the latin root origin of the word means the same.

so why must we be or do without things that give pleasure? (which sin usually brings, in my experience)

if the ten commandments pretty much lay out this no sin life "someone" would like us to have. and this no sin life gets you into heaven. where it would be wise to think and there will also be no sin allowed there.

i don't think myself to be an evil person but i don't think there is anything fun about no sins and for "it to be on earth as it is in heaven" maybe boring?

purgatory seems interesting, maybe not if its floating in some abyss, but if its floating around earth and getting to mess with people that seems cool.

and if in hell you get to do the sins you enjoy as you did on earth, hey more power to them

just a thought

week 2 a little late

i forgot my quote for monday.

"a penny saved is a penny earned"

A/G translation: if you don't do anything, nothing will be done

almost not even worth mentioning

i meant to but...

i didn't get a chance to post yesterday since i got tied up with mi arte. i tend to collage with my old magazines when i get bored. And yesterday i was on a roll. it's not done yet (i think most everything i do isn't done) but it's actually done on an IKEA side table so i'll actually get some use out of this.

Chariots of the Gods

Just started reading a great book by Erich Von Daniken. I'm big on the "what ifs" in the world and believe its narrow minded to think that we are the only ones out there.

i just started reading it so i won't preach on it, but a lot of points brought up make sense. so check it out

we are all future aliens

now watch this drive (for 95min)HA

i can use a new job

so tell me who is hiring?

i don't do fast food or grocery stores

Thank F*@K its Friday

well its actually Saturday, but its Friday to me. My days off this week are Sunday and Monday. yea!! but not really

that's what really sucks about mi trabajo, not having a set schedule. so i'm really not able to do anything else ( like another job.) its not only the days that change but as do the shifts.

you got:

Morning-7am-330pm
Afternoon- 315pm-11:45pm
Night- 11pm-7am

thats how we are covered for great 24hr service (i'am sorry, we don't use that format. GTFO) . being switched from one to the other on the fly, week by week. being switched weekly can really throw off your internal clock. I still have trouble going to bed before 2am, even if i have to go to work at 7am. so account for prep and travel, i get about 3 to 3.5 hours of sleep a night. not cool

Photobucket

so i really enjoy my days off when i get em'

pics from around places (that may be funny)

not funny just cool

whoop whoop

actual plug (i dubbed it OMG!)

wise words

vice-versa

when I drove to work this morning I was in a pretty good mood. The Dallas sky on the other hand was vengeful and unrelenting. I made it to work safely even with the nut jobs on the Tollway. "yea!! i can't see two car lengths in front of me, lets do 70mph." I hate the job not the life.

Then i find out thru some miracle of scheduling that i am the only one working in my department today. sweet!! (sarcasm was my only friend today) So for half of the day me and Dallas were on the same page. The only difference was that i was getting my ass kicked and it was kicking ass, same feelings though. then Dallas punked out and like some choose your own adventure book it jumped ahead and magically felt better.

I guess i didn't want to save the princess, maybe cause the dragon was still kicking my ass. For eight hours straight with no break. I am not doing a damn thing tomorrow.

But i'm sure Dallas will find out the princess is in another castle and be back with the wrathPhotobucket

its funny

i almost didn't get to post tonight due to a severe thunderstorm that passed. Luckily we had just returned from our chicken run (popeye's rocks, tenders with sweet and sour sauce) (shout out to Mau Kitty, my kind of dictator)

i think i started this thing to vent about the sucky ass job, apathetic genius is a nice philosophy if used wisely. i like to think its almost like Buddhism only on the lazy side. live a good life and get ______ when the getting is good.(you fill in the blank) Karma has a lot to do with it, and yes i do believe in karma. i think i'm paid up and in the black again.

turns out posting on this thing, has made the sucky job not less sucky but less bothersome (still getting a diff job though.) its like im sharing but not, cause i know no one actually looks at this thing. And if it ever does catch on this post should be well covered up by other crap.

facebook is a sports fan

facebook must have been watching the NBA playoffs

thanks

thanks for your service and sense of humor

on a brighter note

i'm glad to inform you that Mos Def is a fan of (MF) DOOM

one a week

I'm going to start this and see if i can keep it up.

I'm going to take a common quote that i think defines Apathetic Genius (and if it does not define it. I will make it define it.)

challenge me, send me a quote and i'll make it sound like it belongs in the philosophy of A/G

"Good things come to those who wait"

i'm starting off easy, this one is self-explanatory

ode to work rage

i'm back here again
working nights
same bat time
same bat channel
few new faces
not many changes
that sucks
this sucks
two seconds away from
choking a bitch
am i going to have to choke a bitch?

if i could choke her thru this phone
i would, but
i can't, so
i won't, but
i would if i could, but
nah, its not that serious
but the thought is
the stress is, the time is
the pay is not
that shits a joke, but
i get by

and unemployments a bitch
i took her number when
i should have gave her mine
Heifer has 12 numbers
and they are all down at the same time

like the exasperated trainer
said to the last male panda in the world
"FUCK, that"

Oh, Oh, Oh (yelled like Kinison)

It does not all pay the same. the work i am doing now pays the same. Doing the work of someone else that gets paid more than me does not pay the same. We are hourly, not salary. As for working together to get thru this. when I see you on the weekend or after 4 on friday with some sort of dust or stain on your person. then maybe i'll believe you. If you really want to help the budget:
how about you retire early.

P.S. for future reference, I would have accepted "we all need to work harder." Hell, i don't know what you do or what working harder is for you. Anything but "it all pays the same"
